Cocoa-Cherry Truffle Smoothie
Not only is this smoothie a tummy filler, you’ll also get a nice boost of magnesium from the cocoa and chocolate protein powder. Flax seed oil, flax seeds or chia seeds provide a nice blast of heart-healthy omega's as well.

Ingredients
- 8 ounces unsweetened vanilla coconut milk or water
- 1 cup frozen cherries
- 1 tablespoon coconut or flax seed oil optional
- 2 teaspoons unsweetened cocoa
- 1 serving chocolate whey protein Such as this one
- Ice cubes as desired
- 1 tablespoon ground flax seeds or chia seeds optional
Instructions
- Blend together coconut milk (or water), frozen cherries, coconut or flax seed oil (if using) and cocoa for about 1 minute.
- Add protein powder and continue blending for 1 minute.
- Add the ice and blend for another minute or until smoothie is thick and creamy.
- Add flax seeds or chia seeds and blend for about 10 additional seconds. (if using)
