Peachy Almond Surprise Smoothie

Ingredients
- 8 ounces unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 5 whole almonds toasted if possible
- 1 cup frozen peach slices
- 1 tablespoon coconut or flax seed oil optional
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon minced fresh ginger or more if you like
- 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 serving vanilla whey protein (Such as Ice cubes as desired
- 1 tablespoon ground flax seeds or chia seeds optional
Instructions
- Blend the almond milk, almonds, frozen peaches, flax seed oil, (if using) lemon juice, minced ginger and cinnamon together for about 1 minute.
- Add the protein powder and continue blending for 1 minute.
- Add the ice and blend for another minute or until the smoothie is thick and creamy.
- Add the flax seeds or chia seeds and blend for about 10 more seconds.(if using)
Notes
Feel free to change up your fruit by swapping the frozen peaches for cherries, berries or pears. Frozen mango chunks would also be yummy.
For a completely dairy-free smoothie, make sure to use a vegan protein powder such as the this one. (Vegan protein powders will become creamier with extra blending.)
