Edible Holiday Gifts for All to Enjoy

So another holiday shopping season is here and you just can’t decide what to give certain people on your list. Sure there are the readily available gift cards and a plethora of generic presents for sale everywhere which while appreciated, can often lack your personal touch. So this year, why not consider making some sweet and savory goodies from my healthier Edible Gifts Collection which are really fun to make, especially if you have some ‘lil chefs around that would love to help!

And be imaginative while remaining frugal with your gift wrapping. You can create the most beautiful packages by recycling cardboard boxes and using up small pieces of wrapping paper, tissue and ribbon. Your brightly decorated boxes will become convenient holders for Dark Chocolate Bark or Chunky Apple, Double Chocolate Zucchini or Sweet Morning muffins.

Or scour the discount stores for inexpensive mason jars which are super-functional plus will look pretty holding Breakfast Power Bites, Chewy Peanut Butter Choco-Chip Cookies or Power Crunch Granola. Simply finish your lovely reusable container with a square of pretty holiday fabric, a strand of colorful ribbon and you’re done.

A brightly colored bowl with a lid is a perfect choice to hold healthy munchies such as everyone’s favorite Crunchy-Spiced Chickpeas or delicious and versatile Cherry Tomato ‘n Artichoke Tapenade.

Look for sales at your local craft stores for festive holiday napkins and dish towels which make convenient wrappers for a freshly-baked loaf of Cinnamon StreuselChocolate-Chocolate Chip or Banana Applesauce breads.

Or consider wrapping crunchy Dried Cherry ‘n Pistachio or Baby Brownie Biscotti in a lovely piece of cloth you have leftover from a craft project.

So if you struggle each year what to give your friends, family, teachers, officemates, etc. consider selecting a few goodies from my Edible Gifts Collection… but do make certain to save some for yourself!
