For sure, you must have a tried ‘n true burger recipe, well this is mine! As Mediterranean foods are amongst my favorites, I decided to jazz up my traditional burger mix with the addition of fresh mint, oregano, garlic, feta cheese and roasted red peppers. Extremely flavorful and moist as well as so fun to make…and eat! These burgers are wonderful served in pita pockets with Israeli Salad with Mint ‘n Feta and Tzatziki.

Grilled Mediterranean Turkey Burgers
Yield: 6 burgers
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 medium onion chopped
- 4 cloves garlic minced

- 1/2 cup fresh chopped mint
- 1/3 cup fresh chopped parsley
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh oregano
- 1/4 cup feta cheese crumbled (As feta is salty, resist the urge to add more salt to this recipe.)
- 2 large roasted red bell peppers from jar, rinsed, blotted dry and chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 6 6-inch whole-wheat pitas
- Lettuce leaves
